Attended by Campuses from Various Countries, UNPRI and USU Successfully Hold 2nd International Summer Course 2024
International Community Service
Medan – Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) in collaboration with the University of North Sumatra (USU) held the “2nd Summer Course 2024” on August 29-September 3, 2024.
The activities were carried out at UNPRI on August 30, 2024 – August 31, 2024, while community service activities were carried out in Beras Basah, Langkat, North Sumatra and Langsa on September 1-September 2, 2024.
The International Summer Course is an implementation of collaboration between a number of Science and Technology Excellence Centers (PUI) within the Universitas Prima environment Indonesia, such as PUI Applied Cognitive Neuroscience, PUI Phyto Degenerative and Lifestyle Medicine, PUI Bina Ruang and PUI Agro Sustainable Center, with PUI Mangrove Universitas Sumatera Utara.
In general, the activities consist of 2 types, namely public lectures from domestic and foreign academics, which will be held at Universitas Prima Indonesia, August 30-31, 2024. Then the international community service will be held in Beras Basah and Langsa, September 1-2, 2024.
This activity aims to increase and strengthen the network of cooperation in the field of Tridharma of Higher Education between Universitas Prima Indonesia and University of North Sumatra with foreign institutions.
In addition to academics and students from Indonesia, a number of academics and students from abroad from Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Pakistan also participated in this activity.
In addition to UNPRI and the University of North Sumatra, institutions that sent their delegations to this activity came from Tottori University Japan, Mindanao State University Philippines, University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Chulalongkorn University Thailand and the National Research Agency.
Vice Rector I of Universitas Prima Indonesia, Abdi Dharma, M.Kom, said that Universitas Prima Indonesia fully supports this international summer course activity in order to achieve UNPRI's internationalization goals.
The same thing was also conveyed by the head of LPPM Universitas Prima Indonesia, Edy Fachrial, M.Si, that UNPRI is very open and welcomes opportunities for cooperation related to the Tridharma of Higher Education.
A number of students from within and outside the country expressed positive impressions of this activity. They gained a lot of new knowledge during the summer course, as well as very interesting experiences during community service activities.
